Detailed Simulink Model of Real Time Three Tank System
Original language description
This paper deals with modeling of a three tank system. A process of creating a computer model in MATLAB / Simulink environment is described in detail. The process starts with measurement of characteristics of individual parts of the three tank system Amira DTS200 and creation of an initial mathematical model based on first principles approach. Further, the initial model is modified to obtain better correspondence with realtime system and parameters of the modified system are identified from measurements. The real time system contains nonlinearities which cannot be neglected and therefore are identified and included in the final mathematical model. The paper is especially focused on transformation of mathematical model into a Simulink scheme. This scheme can be used to dramatically decrease design time of a controller for the real time system. Described techniques are not limited to one particular modeling problem but can be used as an illustrative example for modeling of many technolog
