Recently, gelatine or gelatinous protein has been a very valuable raw material for pharmaceutical, food and cosmetical industries. It is made from by-products leather processing industry by liming. This process usually takes from 4 to 6 weeks according the ambient temperature and the content of amidic nitrogen, Following deliming operation, consists in neutralization of calcium hydroxide by acids or suitable acid salts.
