Optimal Pole Placement for LTI-TDS via Some Advanced Iterative Algorithms - Part II: Application

  • Original language description

The aim of this contribution is to follow with our theoretic introductory paper dealing with optimal pole assignment for control feedback systems with internal delays, when the number of feedback poles is infinity, whereas we have only a finite number ofcontroller parameters. Such a problem appears e.g. when algebraic control of unstable time-delay systems in the ring of quasipolynomial meromorphic functions with a simple feedback loop. In this paper, four introduced iterative optimization algorithms are tested and benchmarked. Namely, a mathematical model of a real-life system - the roller skater on the controlled swaying bow - with internal delay serves as the benchmark for the optimization algorithms.
