This paper presents the possibilities of the application of geographic information systems for mapping and presentation of risk, hazard and vulnerability resulting from Industrial Disasters in the certain territory. The paper is primarily focused on theenvironmental risk within this area. For this purpose the article describes the basic methods and tools for determination of the emergency planning zones and consequently a set of spatial and attributes analysis allowing their solutions using GIS.
