Original language description
The paper deals with cascade adaptive control of acontinuous stirred tank reactor with an exothermic reaction. Thecontrol is performed in primary and secondary control-loops wherethe primary controlled output of the reactor is the concentration ofthe reaction product, and, the secondary output is the reactanttemperataure. A common control input is the coolant flow rate. Thecontroller in the primary control-loop is a nonlinear P-controller, and,the controller in the secondary control-loop is an adaptivecontroller.The proposed method is verified by control simulations.
