Assessment of the Emergency Preparedness of the Patient to Move from the Airport with Suspicion of Ebola
Original language description
The aim of this article is to assess the willingness to move a patient from an airport with suspicion of Ebola to the rescue components of the Integrated Rescue System of the Czech Republic. An extremely frightened threat is the highly contagious disease that is causing severe health, social and economic problems today. The human organism is surrounded by microorganisms throughout its development, the existence of which is endangered by the human population. But due to rapid advances in infectious medicine, epidemiology, hygiene, preventive medicine, and other medical disciplines, some past epidemics are sparked. A large share of preventive vaccination and sanitary measures. Nowadays, exotic areas are increasingly frequented, and population migration from all over the world is increasing to our country, which can pose a high risk of introducing infectious diseases from other countries, so it is important to know also contagious diseases such as Ebola, hemorrhagic fever, malaria, SARS and others. In addition to theoretical knowledge about highly contagious diseases, patients with a confirmed diagnosis or suspected of a highly infectious disease should be able to take care of them. It is not only about the care and treatment of the patient, but also about the prevention of the spread of infectious diseases, ensuring safe work with the patient, and ensuring the patient is safely transported to a specialized workplace designated for this purpose. That is why the so-called Biohazard Team was set up in the Czech Republic, whose function is provided by the members of the integrated rescue system in cooperation with the Public Health Protection Authority. The aim of this article is to find out if Biohazard Team's exit team can provide a patient with suspected high-risk infection to transport it to a designated device. It deals with issues of transport, risks, and problems with which IRIS members may encounter.
