In this contribution, the authors present the outcomes of field research they conducted into gauging the success-rates of Social Pedagogy students in working practice. The authors set out the results of a questionnaire-based investigation, which served as the basis for further investigations into the development and monitoring of the skills, abilities and competencies of social pedagogues in praxis and in the preparation process for working in jobs in this field. In this research investigation, the authors oriented themselves on monitoring basic skills, abilities and linguistic competence as well as their satisfaction with their theoretical and practical preparation in the course of their studies at this university. The second part of the research investigation deals with the adaptability of graduates in the workplace. In the concluding part of this study, the authors suggest conclusions and possibilities for further research investigations.
