Original language description
The authors discuss the regional topic, map and describe the individual institutions which provided certain level of support and care for elderly in Zlín during the 20th century, in case of failure of care within the family, which formerly belonged to the moral obligations of relatives. The traditional and proven model of care for elderly could not be carried out for various reasons, and thus responsibility for them in the second half of the 20th century began to be taken over by the State, introducinga state pension provision in old age and instruments for care for the elderly. Post captures and characterizes various institutional forms of senior care in Zlín, which has gradually developed, followed on themselves or possibly coexist together. Excursion to individual institutions begins in Zlín? salmshouse and is followed by the Homes for the elderly established as a part of the Bata hospital. In the postwar era the Rest Home in Lukov is described and from the 80s the Retirement home
