Third culture children in the Czech Republic: the influence of parents´ culture on preparing for school
Original language description
Third culture children are relatively new research topic in the Czech Republic. This qualitative study pursues children, whose native languages are Czech and English, and each of the parent has from different cultural backround. Their children attend primary schools here in the Czech Republic, often encounter different problems in preparing for school education than their monocultural peers. In the methodological part, we try to identify these problems, together with the reasons why these families live in the Czech Republic, although it is not always easy for their children.
