This study deals with the theory and practice of teacher education in the Czech Republic and it is focused especially on the pedagogical and psychological components of this education. The author also gives examples of theoretical problems solved throughresearch and his work pays particular attention to the research of pedagogic knowledge and skills he participated in. He also mentions some new knowledge resulting from this research (for example, he deals with an implicit nature of pedagogic knowledge,he introduces the new term of "pedagogic condition", which he regards to be broader compared to "pedagogic knowledge).

Studie je sondou do teorie a praxe učitelského vzdělávání v České republice. Zaměřuje se zejména na pedagogicko-psychologickou složku tohoto vzdělávání. Uvádí příklady teoretických problémů, které byly řešeny výzkumně. Podrobněji se věnuje výzkumům pedagogických dovedností a znalostí, na nichž participoval. Zmiňuje některé nové poznatky, které tyto výzkumy přinesly (např. poukazuje na implicitní povahu pedagogických znalostí, uvádí nový pojem "pedagogická kondice", který považuje za širší než pojem "pedagogické znalosti").
