Original language description
A new fluorescent 1,8-naphthalimide units has been synthesized. The photophysical characteristics have been investigated. The ability of fluorescent probe to detect dinitrobenzene has been investigated in water solution. According to various investigation, 1,8-naphthalimide showed high sensitivity and selectivity for detection of dinitrobenzene over other elements. These results indicated that the 1,8-naphthalimide unit can be used as a potential probe for dinitrobenzene detection
