    Conducting composite films based on polyaniline and nanocellulose

  • Original language description

    The combination of nanocellulose particles and polyaniline (P ANI) is promising for developing of green functional biocomposites. In this work, we focused on the preparation of P ANI films using polymerization in colloidal dispersion mode in the presence of two types of nanocelluloses, cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) and cellulose nanofibers (CNF). The preparation of conducting P ANI films in the presence of nanocellulose particles is a promising method for obtaining green biocomposites for various applications. In this study, the presence of nanocellulose, both CNC and CNF, improved the biological properties of pristine PANI films while maintaining their favorable physicochemical features. Hence, the use of nanocelluloses in conducting composite films can increase the utility of P ANI in tissue engineering, where materials come into contact with cells and tissues.
