Original language description
This chapter focuses specifically on the applications and challenges that can be found in coated MRFs, FFs and partially MREs, along with a comparison of the different types of coatings. An in-depth discussion on the effect of the coating for the applications of MRFs along with designing appropriate coatings for each application is given. An analytical overview of the importance of coated FFs on medical applications is presented, along with the differences from MRFs. The most recent types of coating are described in depth along with their properties. Finally, synthesis and characterization techniques are mentioned followed by conclusions and future prospects.
