New Collaborative Ecosystems: Do they Create Stirring Dynamics on Footwear Industries Value Chain and Business Network to Integrate Societal Challenges?

  • Original language description

This academic paper aims to emphasize the importance of emerging collaborative ecosystems and their potential toenhance innovative interactions within the value chain and business network of the footwear sector in addressing societalissues. Currently, the rise of collaborative ecosystems and networks within businesses is seen as a strategic approach tooperations. Reorganizing supply chains, it affects the value chain and business network to include initiatives that tacklesocietal issues. On the other hand, the digital transformation of businesses has become a major challenge in the 21stcentury, as organizations work to keep pace with the fundamental digital advancements in materials and technologicalprocesses that are crucial for their development. While companies encounter difficulties in adjusting to the new principlesof Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0, these frameworks improve the contributions of diverse stakeholders by leveraging digitaltechnologies to generate sustainable value and foster societal well-being. This paper examines how differentcollaborative methods allow organizations to investigate the ways in which collaborative initiatives among variousinstitutions can foster a supportive environment for vocational education and training (VET) institutions and universities, ultimately strengthening their capacity to develop business incubators. At present, business incubators have becomewell-known mainly due to efforts from entrepreneurial universities, especially in public sector organizations. Thisrecognition stems from their contribution to the European Union's development strategy aimed at integrating sciencewith and for society (SWAFS), which provides crucial scientific and technological support to address modern businessdemands. Lastly, it is important to emphasize that the transition to the new paradigms of Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0significantly hinges on the initiatives of entrepreneurial universities to increase awareness of institutional innovation, foster an entrepreneurial mindset, and establish a digital innovation framework. These factors collectively promoteentrepreneurial ventures in the footwear sector, creating social, collaborative, and commercial benefits.
