Original language description
To describe fruit and vegetable intake of pre-school and school children in the Czech Republic and to provide information about their preferences and dietary habits. Cross-sectional dietary survey conducted by the method of repeated 24 h recall on two non-consecutive days. Usual intakes were calculated for three age categories (4-6, 7-10 and 11-14 years). Conclusions Fruit and vegetable intakes in all age categories were under recommended levels and the diversity of fruit and vegetables consumed by theCzech children was relatively low.
