Original language description
The paper presents an integral view on risk management in museums. The risks in the area of cultural institutions’ management, which had so far been examined separately, are explored in a comprehensive way and set in a broader context. The paper focuses also on the ability to assess the seriousness of the risk in relation to both the length of professional experience and to previous experience with a specific risk-assessment. The current scientific discourse concentrates primarily on large and well-known museums, while the area of agricultural museums has so far been left out of mainstream research carried out on the subject. The text, by dealing with the issue of this type of memory institutions, fills a gap in research. The research is in compliance with the concept of science and research of the National Museum of Agriculture, specifically in its research project I, activity no. 2, ‘Research in the field of museology’.
