Original language description
Results of an international pediatric CT survey conducted by IAEA are summarized in the article. 126 hospitals from 40 countries participated in the survey. From the Czech Republic 5 faculty hospitals participated in the survey. Frequencies of the CT head, chest and abdomen were assessed for children in four age ranges ? bellow 1 year, 1-5 years, 5-10 years and 10-15 years. Choice of appropriate imaging modality ? radiography, CT, ultrasound, MRI or no imaging was assessed for seven clinical situations.
