    Cost-benefit analysis of remediation scenarios

    In order to simplify a decision-making process in choosing of a suitable decontamination scenario after nuclear accidents, methods of the System dynamics were employed. Using the Vensim software, decontamination procedures were designed with regard to relevant conditions of an assumed affected site (surface activities, dose rates, and type of contaminated environs) and subsequently simulated. Simulations were carried out in the updated, improved and extended existing model of decontamination. Presented at the 15th International Congress of the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA15) – Final Programme and Congress Abstracts (18.1-5.2.2021).
