    Multi scale model of the laser dieless drawing process of tubes from hardly deformable magnesium alloys

    The overall objective of the project is to develop and experimentally verify a multi scale numerical model and software which will allow to design the laser dieless drawing process for the production of micro tubes from magnesium alloys. Specific objectives include: 1. Experimental study of rheological properties and damage of magnesium alloys (AZ31, ZEK100, MgCa08, etc.) and data processing by inverse analysis. 2. Development of the FEM code for cluster computers allowing modeling of thermal and mechanical processes during laser dieless drawing and performing optimization. 3. Development of a model in meso scale, which allows to predict the topography of the free surface and the level of damage of the metal, its calibration and implementation in the modeling process in the macro scale. 4. Experimental verification of model of laser dieless drawing process.
