Polymerní kompozity jako funkční materiály pro zabudované senzory a optické vlnovody

  • Annotation in Czech

The project represents a joint proposal of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz (Austria) and the Czech Technical University in Prague (Czech Republic) in the field of organic and composite materials and the development of technologies for the fabrication of sensors, actuators and optical waveguides embedded in the surface layers of coatings on different substrate materials in order to add functionality in terms of.sensing or actuation allowing, e.g., touch detection, strain measurement, measurement of air quality, displaying simple information, etc. To that end, smart materials and composites with suitable piezoelectric, piezoresistive, magnetoresistive and optical properties will be investigated. The realization of such structures on materials with high surface roughness (e.g. paper, reinforced glass, organically coated metal sheets etc.) represents a significant technological challenge when it comes to fabrication. The findings of the joint project will not only enhance the scientific competence of the project partners in the field of printed and integrated transducers, but bring new possibilities with arising Internet of Things (IoT) technology.

Completed project evaluation

  • Provider evaluation

U - Uspěl podle zadání (s publikovanými či patentovanými výsledky atd.)

  • Project results evaluation

This project was being realized in the framework of the MOBILITY Activity that aims primarily on establishing and strenghtening ties with foreign research institutions. The control of particular outputs is not implemented by the evalution committee, but the correctness of allocated finances and the adequacy of their use are checked.
