The NeAIxt project is built around the common thread of giving the European Union the technological edge and independence through mastering technical hurdles including pushing forward FD-SOI technology to the 18 nm node, the development of next generation of embedded Non-Volatile Memories (PCM-Phase Change Memory, OxRAM-Oxide-Based-Resistive and FeRAM-Ferroelectric RAM) and the development of innovative architectures dedicated to Edge AI applications. Joining progress in non-volatile memories technologies such as e-PCM with advanced MCUs design and manufacturing will enable real in-memory computing, to mimic the decentralized processing at the nearest point of use, as efficient it can be found in nature, for a minimal energy budget and maximized security and safety level. By combining all these achievements with technological development, NeAIxt will make available a fully European solution, giving citizens and corporations accesss to reliable, safe, secure and independent competitive edge-AI functionalities for smarter applications. To achieve these goals, NeAIxt project will make available high-performance MCUs, advanced e-NVMs, secure and efficient solutions, all "made in EU for EU".
