Spatiotemporal transcriptome and proteome analysis of α-Synuclein pathology in Parkinson’s disease: Identification of cell type-specific vulnerability and tolerance mechanisms

Project goals

1. Spatiotemporal analysis of neuronal, glial and immune cell responses at transcriptome and proteome level in vulnerable and more resistant brain regions; 2. Multi-omic bioinformatics analysis of spatiotemporal gene and protein expression changes, supported by systems biology approaches; 3.Multiplexing-based interrogation and validation of identified signatures and master regulators in clinical samples and integration with clinical, neuropathological, and genomic (e.g., GBA and HLA-R genetic variants) heterogeneity in PD.
