Sekundární zdroje ultrakrátkých a ultraintenzivních pulsů záření a částic umožní široké spektrum projektů základního výzkumu a aplikací v chemii, molekulární biologii, při vývoji nových lékařských technologií, vývoji nových materiálů a dalších.

Project results evaluation
The main objectives of the ELI project (CZE). The principle is based on the laser interaction with matter. The intensity is approximately 100 times higher than the intensity achieved at present. The big laser system providing ultra-short light pulses of a few femtoseconds (10-15 fs) will be the core of the laboratory. Secondary sources of ultra-short pulses and ultra-intense radiation and particles enable a wide spectrum of basic research projects and applications in chemistry, molecular biology, the development of new medical technologies, the development of new materials and others. The project ELI is included in the European Roadmap. The ELI infrastructure will have specialized branches (pillars) in multiple countries. ELI-Beamlines center in the Czech Republic, which is the subject of this project, will have a main part in the planned multinational infrastructure.
