    Hlavním cílem projektu je navázání a realizace intenzivní dlouhodobé spolupráce mezi partnery z akademické a komerční sféry za účelem špičkového výzkumu s významným dopadem na oblasti determinujících kvalitu lidského života: ukládání energie, životní prostředí a lidské zdraví. Navržená výzkumná strategie cílí na racionalizaci komunikačních kanálů (rozhraní a nanospojů) v hybridních a senzorických strukturách na bázi optimalizovaných uhlíkových alotropů pro enviro a bio aplikace.

    The project enabled the creation and development of joint research workplaces, including the acquisition of appropriate infrastructure. The research itself was carried out in the form of interdisciplinary (materials chemistry, materials physics and electrical engineering) and cross-sectoral collaboration and related to the field of materials engineering and the design of functional structures based on optimized material components of carbon allotropes (e.g. preparation of diamond and its use in biosensors). There was gradually formed an interdisciplinary and intersectoral team, which participated in the solution of the project plan. There were also signed mutual contracts and memoranda on cooperation within the consortium and outside the consortium. In addition to the CARAT consortium (Tesla Blatná, OZM), SYNPO, the Center for Organic Chemistry, MBN Research and Roplass were involved in the international interdisciplinary cooperation.
