VisioTherapy: Supporting physiotherapy treatments using computer-based movement analysis

Project goals

The aim of the project is to develop the VisioTherapy software, which will support physiotherapists and their patients during rehabilitation procedures. Specifically, the VisioTherapy software will extract human motion data from videostream of patient's exercises, and perform similarity-based comparisons and analysis of this data in real time. The main objective is to compare current patient's exercising to correct movements recorded under the supervision of the physiotherapist, and alert the patient in case of incorrect exercising. VisioTherapy will also monitor the rehabilitation progress and provide reports for both the patients and the therapists, who will be able to use this information to refine the rehabilitation plan.

    Cílem projektu je vyvinout software VisioTherapy, který zefektivní rehabilitační fyzioterapii jak pro pacienty, tak pro fyzioterapeuty. Software bude pomocí technologií AI v reálném čase získávat pohybová data z videostreamu cvičení, tato data pak bude porovnávat a analyzovat. VisioTherapy bude zejména porovnávat aktuální pacientovo cvičení se vzorem správného cvičení, které bude pořízeno ve spolupráci s fyzioterapeutem, a upozorňovat pacienta na případné problémy. Dále bude VisioTherapy monitorovat postup rehabilitace a poskytovat souhrnná data a statistiky jak pacientům, tak i fyzioterapeutům, kteří je budou moci využít pro lepší zacílení léčby.
