Nonassociativity and multilinearity

Project goals

The project is concerned with interactions of nonassociative structures and multilinear algebra, self-correcting codes, cryptography and group theory. We intend to apply various connections of loops to triadditive and tricrossadditive mappings ? some ofthem classical and some of them new ? to solve several important problems within the theory of conjugacy closed (CC) loops and commutative Moufang loops. We also intend to establish a firmer theoretical basis for the interaction of CC loops with groups and codes, generalizing and explaining thus various constructions of p-local subgroups of the Monster. We anticipate that semirings will find applications in nonassociative structures in the future, and hence a part of our project is to solve several important structural problems in the theory of semirings. In this context we shall also investigate applications of semirings in cryptography. We also plan to investigate A-loops and Moufang loops of odd order.

    Projekt se zabývá interakcemi neasociativních struktur s multilineární algebrou, samoopravnými kódy, kryptografií a teorií grup. Hodláme použít různé vazby mezi lupami a triaditivními a trikrosaditivními zobrazeními ? některé tyto jsou klasické, jiné nové ? pro vyřešení několika důležitých otevřených problémů jak v teorii konjugačně uzavřených (CC) lup, tak v teorii komutativních moufangovských lup. Chceme také vytvořit dostatečně obecnou novou teorii, která by vysvětlila dosud známé způsoby konstrukcep-lokálních podgrup Monstra. Protože počítáme s tím, že polookruhy budou hrát v budoucnu významnou roli v neasociativní algebře, chceme se též věnovat řešení důležitých strukturních otázek jejich teorie. V této souvislosti se hodláme také věnovat možnýmkryptografickým aplikacím. Plánujeme také studium A-lup a Moufangovských lup lichého řádu.

The output consists of 7 articles in respected international journals and 24 articles in Czech journals (11 of these articles are rather far from thescope of the project).
