Theory for dissociative recombination in fusion and interstellar plasmas

  • Annotation in Czech

The project is focused on the development and improvement of the available theory for numerical simulations of collisions between electrons and molecular cations. Proposed molecular systems are relevant in fusion plasmas (molecules of NeH and BH) and in the chemistry reaction chain simulations of interstellar plasmas (OH molecule). Studied reaction processes will include the rovibrational heating (and cooling) together with the nuclear dissociation during the recombination collision. The theoretical tools employed in the project will combine the Multichannel quantum defect theory and the frame transformation approach. The development of the theory will be focused on extension of the nonlocal resonance model of Sobolewski and Domcke, previously applied to photoionization processes, to include the dissociation channel in the electron-cation collision.
