    Exposure of liquid to non-equilibrium plasma represents a unique way to transfer chemical reactivity from the plasma into the liquid and produce liquids with a broad spectrum of chemical and biological activity. This activity results from complex interactions between plasma and liquid with the central role of redox processes driven by reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) produced by plasma. However, the underlying reactions and their transport at the plasma-liquid interface are relatively unexplored. The aim of this project is to characterize reaction-transport processes of plasma-generated reactive species into the liquid and plasma-induced chemical processes associated with these species in the liquid. By integrating experimental diagnostics and computational modeling, we will focus on the transport dynamics of RONS at the liquid interface and their subsequent chemical transformations in plasma-treated liquids of varying chemical compositions.
