Active galaxies - related transients in focus: Observations and theoretical insights
Annotation in Czech
Transients in active galaxies include Changing Look Active Galactic Nuclei, where broad emission lines and blue continuum emission can appear or disappear. Another example is Bowen Fluorescence Flares, which are marked by extreme ultraviolet radiation and unusual spectral features just recently observed in Active Galactic Nuclei. We propose to simultaneously conduct observations through multi-wavelength follow-up of transients in active galaxies and test a model for recurring flares by computing the time-dependent evolution of the black hole accretion disk. This will provide new insights as to what starts or stops supermassive black hole accretion.
