Glycan-dependent regulation of NK cell recognition: structural biology and novel methods of glycopeptide analysis

  • Annotation in Czech

Project aims: Structure and glycan-dependent binding of selected human natural killer (NK) cell receptors to their newly described ligands will be studied by means of integrative structural biology and biochemistry. Systematic study of HILIC retention mechanisms of glycopeptides will be conducted and used to optimize mass spectrometry identification of isobaric glycopeptides of model and clinical samples.

  • Project results evaluation

In 2022 research from the 3rd project stage was performed according to the plan. Biophysical and structural characterization of the CD69:Gal-1, NKp30:B7-H6, and NKp46:Epa1 interactions related to N-glycosylation of the receptors continued. Results were presented within the INNOGLY COST Action and at international meetings; 2 publications were published, and 3 other manuscripts are in preparation.
