Cílem je vytvoření energeticky úsporného systému na ochranu komodit před škůdci za pomoci řízených atmosfér. Cílem řešení je vyvtoření technologie přátelské k životnímu prostředí. Cílem projektu je popsat biologické aspekty účinnosti řízených atmosfér na významné druhy skladištních škůdců skladovaných obilovin, zejména se jedná o vlivy teploty, vlhkosti, populační odolnosti atd. Tyto aspekty významně ovlivňují nejen biologickou účinnost, ale zejména ekonomické rozvahy celé metody. Během řešení projektu budou získány nové informace o biologické účinnosti různých plynů (CO2, N2) používaných v metodách řízených atmosfér, v návaznosti na metody aplikovatelné v ochraně skladovaných obilovin ve velkých objemech. Výsledky tohoto projektu budou využitelné v mnoha oblastech zemědělství. V potravinářství přinášejí alternativy k fumigacím toxickými plyny.

Project results evaluation
4 research activities were planned and funded each year from 2013 to 2017. The project thus yielded results for four outputs: Determining the biological efficiency of controlled atmospheric methods for selected types of storage pests under laboratory conditions, Determining the biological efficiency of controlled atmospheric methods for selected types of storage pests under operating conditions, Determining the species spectrum of pests and analysis of species that pose a risk to stored commodities, and Comparing the effectiveness of traditional fumigation methods with the application of new controlled atmospheric methods. A total of 11 outcomes were planned, although 30 of them were implemented and there was also a deviation from the plan with the acquisition of Ztech-driven technology for a controlled atmosphere with a high nitrogen content for treating stored commodities to prevent pests in silos. The plan for the application of the results has been fulfilled.
