MRS determination of n-3 fatty acid signal of adipose tissue triglycerides by J-difference editing. A pilot study
Original language description
The aim of our study is to test feasibility of the J-difference editing MRS technique for selective detection of n-3 fatty acid (n-3 FA) signal in-vivo. In a normal spectrum of adipose tissue, the CH3 signal of n-3 FA is hidden under the dominating CH3 signal of non-n-3 FA. However, for editing purposes one can use the signal of J-coupled methylene protons that is well separated thanks to the proximity of the double bond.
