Performing Space or Ephemeral Section of Architecture
Original language description
Performing Space project took place in Clam Gallas Palace and in public spaces of the city. The core of the project was to explore contemporary architecture and its connections to performance and the city via series of indoor lectures and tours in public space. The lectures and tours were organized by curators of national selections and included work from 14 countries. It was curated by Swiss theatre and exhibition designer Serge von Arx. Most of the work presented explored the abstract notion of performativity of city as well as concrete architecture built for theatre activity. Many of the tours took shape of workshops or otherwise interactive events. Czech exposition in this project was represented by Golem Cube installation by director Ivo Kristian Kubák.
