Original language description
A new species of Dessumia Descarpentries & Villiers, 1966, D. barri n. sp. from Malaysia (Sabah), is described and compared with D. vitalisi (Bourgoin, 1922) from Laos and southwestern China. Illustrations of the habitus and other diagnostic characters of both species are provided. The third species assigned to the same genus, Dessumia atrata (Bourgoin, 1922), is transferred to the genus Demostis Kerremans, 1900 (new combination).
