Original language description
A new species of Dessumia Descarpentries et Villiers, 1966, D. barri n. sp. from Malaysia (Sabah), is described and compared with D. vitalisi (Bourgoin, 1922) from Laos and southwestern China. Illustrations of the habitus and other diagnostic characters of both species are provided. The third species Dessumia atrata (Bourgoin, 1922) is transferred to the genus Demostis Kerremans, 1900 (new combination).
