Original language description
Theatre Anthropology tries to identify based on the behaviour of individual actors during performances, general principles for various theatrical cultures. The main aim of the book was to trace these moments in the traditional and contemporary African culture. To make people aware of the standards that are understandable even in transcultural respect. Through the mask and gestures familiar from traditional rite ceremonies, the present actor tries to communicate not only with the spectator of the culture from which he comes from, but also with the spectator, who grew up in different environment and therefore adopted different cultural standards. Based on these experiences from his own environment, the spectator tries to understand the message of another culture.
