Feminine power within the stream of Czech Japonisme: The idols of beauty and women receptors of Japanese art and aesthetics
Original language description
The aura of an exotic beauty embodied in the perception of a Japanese feminine object in-spired Czech visual and literary artists of the time in creating a poetic cult of Japan. Japan-inspired fiction was viewed as an “aesthetic escape” from reality to exoticism, which can be traced in works of Czech writers, poets and artists.
