Original language description
The main topic of the meeting was the information on the outcomes of Expert Groups chairs meeting and National Delegates Forum, comments and feedback on Annual reports and KPIs. SIEG achievements in 2021 and plans for 2022 were widely discussed. The key discussion was on the operation and development priorities of EGDI, focused on new web, inclusion of new components, EGDI governance and closer collaboration with other Expert Groups. Participants were informed on the SIEG contribution to successful launch of the of the CSA GSEU project, specifically to WP7 (EGDI) and WP9 (EGDI governance within GSE). Important was also a discussion on challenges and opportunities of new technologies, that will be formulated within the Strategic research and innovation agenda (SRIA). SIEG is observing EC programmes and its possible benefits, also the potential of collaboration with other infrastructures (preparation of EPOS ERIC MoU). Some of SIEG members will participate on organizing of the GIC Annual Conference 2022. SIEG is trying to open external relations with The Association of Iberoamerican Geological and Mining Surveys (ASGMI), which established Geoscientific information systems Expert Group. The aim was to find potential contacts and start collaboration with SIEG (meeting planned).
