Original language description
The discussion by Casas et al. (2025) on our paper about the oroclinal arcs in the Variscan Belt (Martínez Catalán et al. 2024) is welcome because it allows us to update some of our ideas in the light of recent new results. As the discussion only addresses the Ibero- Armorican Arc (IAA), we will also focus on this structural feature, dealing with (1) the geometry of the arc, (2) the structures involved and their mechanical constraints and (3) the timing of arc development.
