Original language description
At present, 100 accession of Triticum dicoccum, 27 of T. dicoccoides and 70 of T. spelta are maintained in the wheat collection. Collections of other small grain cereals and pseudocereals involve 491 accessions. During two years a set of selected genotypes of alternatice crops was studied. The overwintering of spelt what was nearly the same as in bread wheat. The grain yield of spelt and emmer was lower abd differences in total naked grain yield were higher. Protein content in hulloed wheats was much higher than in bread wheat. Common millet accessions yielded more than 3 times higher than other minor millets. The grain yield of common buckwheat varieties ranged from 1.52 to 2.66 t/ha. Grain yield of tartary buckwheat was low, but rutin content in g rains was much higher than that of common buckwheat.
