Substitution lines of wheat with dominant genes Vrn.
Original language description
Spring growth habit was studied in wheat substitution lines that were produced by substitution of homologeous group 5 chromosomes, carrying dominatn loci Vrn, into three different winter genetic background of cultivars Kosutka, Vala and Zdar. Correctnessof the used sources of dominant genes Vrn was verified in the created materials. In the obstained substitution line influence of individual chromosomes, and thus of the corresponding loci Vrn, on time to heading and photoperiod response was detected. The results showed influence of genetic back ground, different effects of individual chromosomes with Vrn loci and their different dependence on vernalisation. The latest were lines carrying locus Vrn-B1, the earliest were lines with Vrn-D1. The effect onearliness was shown in the order: Vrn-D1 - Vrn-A1 - VRnB1.
