Spring growth habit was studied in wheat substitution lines, obtained by substitution of homoeologous group 5 chromosomes, carrying dominant loci Vrn, into three winter backgrounds of cultivars Košutka, Vala and Zdar. The effect of individual chromosomes, and thus of the present loci Vrn, on time to heading and photoperiod response was detected in the set of lines. The results showed influence of genetic background, different effects of individual chromosomes with Vrn loci and their different dependenceon vernalization. The effect on earliness was shown in the order: Vrn-D1► Vrn-A1► Vrn-B1.

Czech description
Jarní růstový typ byl studován u substitučních linií pšenice,získaných substitucí chromosomů 5. homoeologické skupiny, nesoucích dominantní lokusy Vrn, do tří ozimých pozadí kultivarů Košutka, Vala a Zdar. Účinek jednotlivýách chromosomů, a tím i přítomných lokusů Vrn, na dobu do metání a na fotoperiodickou citlivost byl sledován u této sady linií. Byl zjištěn vliv genetického pozadí, jednotlivých chromosomů ( Vrn lokusů) a jajich rozdílná reakce na jarovizaci. Vliv na ranost byl zjištěn v pořadí: Vrn-D1► Vrn-A1► Vrn-B1.
