This paper presents the results of laboratory tests on the speed of action against German cockroaches of 10 commercial gel baits containing the major classes of active ingredients currently used. Three main groups of baits were recognized:I) Rapid actionbaits (NT 50 &lt; 2 hours): imidacloprid - PROFICID ACTIVE, (chlorpyrifos) - KARATOX TURBO (1.2%), II). Quick action baits (NT 502- 12 hours): chlorpyrifos - SWAT GEL (0.6) and ZEL (0.4 %), fenitrothion- SCHVABEX GEL, fipronil - GOLlATH, III). Slow action baits (NT 50 12-72 hours): abamectin -AVERT, hydrametylnon -MAXFORCE, boric acid -PROXICOL-N.

Tato práce prezentuje výsledky laboratorního pokusu testujícího rychlost účinku 10 různích komerčních geleových insekticidních nástrah proti rusu domácímu (Blatella germanica). V rámci studie byly identifikovány 3 skupiny nástrah s rozdílnou rychlostí účinku: I) Okamžitě působící nástrahy (NT50 &lt; 2 hours): imidacloprid - PROFICID ACTIVE, (chlorpyrifos) - KARATOX TURBO (1.2%), II). Ryhle působící nástrahy (NT50 = 2- 12 hodin): chlorpyrifos - SWAT GEL (0.6) and ZEL (0.4 %), fenitrothion- SCHVABEX GEL,fipronil - GOLlATH, III). Pomalu působící nástrahy (NT50 12-72 hours): abamectin -AVERT, hydrametylnon -MAXFORCE, boric acid -PROXICOL-N.
