Fungi associated with rodent feces in stored grain environment
Original language description
Fungi cause deterioration of stored crops and may comaminate them with mycotoxins and allergens. Although fungi-rodem associations are known from nature, there is little data from the environmem of stored plam products. Therefore, the goal of this work was to idemify the fungi connected with the occurrence of mouse feces in stored grain in the Czech Republic. Mouse populations were sampled in three grain stores and their feces subjected to mycological analysis. We isolated 11 genera (the highest speciesdiversity was found in Penicillium /13 species/, Aspergillus /5 species/ and Mucor /5 species/) and 35 species of fungi (the most frequem were: Eurotium repem, Microascus brevicaulis, Aspergillus niger, Mucor mucedo, Penicillium aurantiogriseum, and Thamnidium elegans). Toxinogenic and allergenic potemial of isolated fungi was evaluated.
