    Thermal analysis of cryopreserved Hypericum perforatum L. shoot tips: cooling regime dependent dehydration and ice growth

  • Original language description

    Thermal analysis was use to verify cryopreservation method in medicinal plant species Hypericum perforatum. Effect of cooling rate on dehydration and ice crystal formation and their growth was evaluated. Explant dehydration was a result of dehydration time that was in negative correlation with cooling rate. The thermal gradient in cryotube during the cooling process was measured at different cooling rates. Effect of cooling rate on survival rate of cryopreserved material was evaluated.
