Thermotherapy sanitation of two grapevine cultivars
Original language description
Thermotherapy was used for sanitation of two grapevine cultivars, Müller-Thurgau and Portugieser Blau. Their promised clones were infected by Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 1 (GLRaV-1), Arabis mosaic virus (ArMV), Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV), Grapevine fleck virus (GFkV), and Rupestris stem pitting-associated virus (RSPaV), as tested by RT-PCR. Cuttings from the mother plants were used for growing of new plants, which were placed at 37°C for 45 days. Only very low percentage (up to 5%) of sanitized plants was obtained.
