A new multiplex PCR test for the determination of Vrn-B1 alleles in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
Original language description
In this paper, we describe novel dominant allele Vrn-B1c and new multiplex PCR which we developed. The novel allele contains altered sequence within first intron. It contains both deletion (about 800 bp) and duplication (about 400 bp). Using PCR described in paper, one is able to distinguish four currently known Vrn-B1 alleles (Vrn-B1a, Vrn-B1b, Vrn-B1c and vrn-B1) in one reaction. This PCR vas validated using more than 400 wheat varieties. Novel allele Vrn-B1c was detected in total of 25 spring wheat cultivars.
