´HoneySweet´ trees have been shown to be resistant to all major srains of PPV. PPV can not be transmitted by aphids on this cultivar.´HoneySweet´ was deregulated in the USA in the year 2011 for free growing and consumption of fruits. ´HoneySweet´ is free available for developing new PPV-resistant plum varieties. Genetic materiál is available for research purposes, including development and commercialization of new cultivars.
