Original language description
Fifteen starchy food products (bread, pasta, rice, oatmeal etc.) and their alternatives available in healthy food stores were analyzed for rapidly digestible, slowly digestible and resistant starch content. The aim was to test whether the favorable effect of rational nutrition products on the human organism is partly due to lower rate of starch digestibility and higher resistant starch proportion by using whole meal wheat and other cereals.
