Original language description
Polysaccharides are a dominant component of wheat grain and essentially influence fattening parameters of broiler chickens. Different wheat cultivars, growing conditions as well as further grain processing (e.g. extrusion) can significantly change a particular composition of polysaccharides which can play a significant role in the fattening efficiency. Our study evaluated cultivar differences in main grain polysaccharide components (starch, dietary fibre, arabinoxylans) including also an impact of extrusion processes and seeked relations among polysaccharide characteristics and important fattening parameters such as feed conversion and weight gain.
